Mexican Modernist Triple-row Pillow Link Bracelet

This Mexican Modernist Triple-row Link Bracelet in 925 silver was designed in the "Pillow" style made popular by artisans in Taxco, Mexico from the early 1940s to about 1960. This Bracelet dates from the early 1950's.

The Bracelet features an integrated tongue and box chamber clasp (with a push-button/trigger release), plus a soldered safety chain and fold-over safety latch. The underside of the box features an undulating scalloped edge marked 925. This integrated closure supports a three tiered structure of hollow "pillows" or "puffs" that is comparatively light, but looks massive.

This style of clean geometric design paired with fluid undulating scalloped edges on the locking mechanism was heavily used by Sigi Pineda aka Sigi, meaning the piece is his but unsigned, or created by someone under his tutelage.
