The dazzling rainbow of colors found in this star-shaped necklace pendant is caused by a composite of fossilized shells found in the Canadian Rockies, and fragments from the oldest meteorite known so far, found north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden. It's a unique combination, and each handmade star is as unique as you are.

The colorful pieces of fossilized shell are from sea creatures known as ammonites, cephalopods that swam the earth's oceans during the Late Cretaceous Period (71M-75M years ago). Ammolite (the fossilized shell of ammonites) is found almost exclusively in the portion of the Bearpaw Formation located in Alberta, Canada.

We find these sparkling fossils pair nicely with shining silver coated shards from the iron-based the Muonionalusta Meteorite, which collided with the earth billions of years ago. These fragments of earth's history are mixed together and hand-formed into a star shape, preserved in glass. Each star is then incased in a rhodium-plated 925 silver pendant with 925 stamp.

We've paired our meteorite and fossil star with a sophisticated 20" 3MM black leather necklace. The necklace features a rhodium-plated 925 silver lobster clasp.

Due to the uniqueness and handmade nature of the pieces, no two pendants are exactly alike.
