This collaboration with Endless Night brings together exquisite gems and Vampire artifacts. Iolite is the stone of visionary ideas, creative spark, clarity of thought and exploration. 

Found around the world in places like Brazil, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Norway, Iolite gets its name from the Greek "ios", meaning "violet". You could call it an "extreme gem" in that it's sometimes found near meteorites, in lava deposits, and deep within the earth's mantle. 

It is also known as "Water Sapphire" and "Vikings Compass". Vikings used Iolite for its unique properties as a glare reducer and a polarizing filter to aid in pinpointing the sun's position on cloudy days. Additionally, Iolite showcases a unique pleochroism (the scientific term for a color-changer). This is the effect where it exhibits different color when viewed from different angles. Your gem may appear electric violet in some bright lights and moody deep purple violet in others.
