Mystery Locket & Chain - Art Deco, Gold-Filled

This one-of-a-kind art deco 10K Gold-Filled Locket and chain circa 1927 from Dunn Bros. in Rhode Island, features violet enamel flowers and a custom engraving. It's a question mark! When it's opened, the hinged locket reveals a mystery photo of a school-age boy. The playful question mark on the front suggests that the locket was given or worn in happier times. The slight wear on the back of the gold-filled outer casing of the locket suggests that it was well-loved. What do you think?
