This Ammonite in Pyrite in 925 Silver & 14K Gold-Filled Necklace is a perfect circle pendant in gold-filled 925 silver. The ancient sea creature whose intricately spiraled fossilized shell is encased in pyrite with 18k gold-plate over 925 silver pendant was excavated in the Canadian Rockies, 

These sea creatures are known as ammonites, cephalopods that swam the earth's oceans during the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods. These fossils are found in the portion of the Bearpaw Formation located in Alberta, Canada, though breathtakingly beautiful examples are also found in Madagascar.

Each fossil is  coated in pyrite, then incased in 18 karat gold-plated 925 silver pendant with 925 stamp.
