Albert Watch Chain in 925 Silver & Gold-Fill

This watch chain is more than it appears. At first it just looked like a 925 silver watch chain, maybe Victorian, with some brass-looking-after-market ring on it. I was WRONG! This is a "Prince Albert" watch chain with gold-filled "Security" custom ring marked for when it was patented, December 31, 1883. All of this is stamped on the gold-filled ring, including the word 'security' on the flip side. Who knew they came up with the modern keyring in the 1800s?
