Description

Legendary driver, Artimus Devine, has received an assignment of a lifetime, and it stinks.  He must traverse a dangerous mountain highway, face his past, and hunt down domestic terrorists threatening his way of life.

He has 17 hours and zero second chances…

It seemed a simple mistake. One Winnebago snuck through on a mountain road, tourists headed for Vegas.

But on this mountain road, nothing is what it seems. The cop who stops them isn’t your typical cop. The route they chose, isn’t your typical route. And the storm they’re driving into, isn’t your usual storm.

Sam W. Anderson lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife, two kids and the most expensive rescue mutt in history. He’s the author of over forty published short stories and collaborative novels, and two short-story collections: POSTCARDS FROM PURGATORY, and AMERICAN GOMORRAH: THE MONEY RUN OMNIBUS.  The latter will be updated and reissued from Rothco Press. THE NINES is his first solo novel. He likes pie.

PRAISE FOR “THE NINES”

“THE NINES proves beyond doubt that Sam W. Anderson is a unique and captivating voice in dark fiction. He makes us cringe when what we want is relief, and makes us laugh nervously, knowing full well that we shouldn’t, at flashes of ugly truth, brutal reality, and the difficulties of being human.” – Ray Garton – author of Lot Lizards, Meds and Frankenstorm.

“Smokey and the Bandit meets Mad Max. I love it!”  – Shane McKenzie – author of Mutt and Muerte Con Carne.
