Double Heart Deco Brooch - 925 Silver, Amethyst, Garnet, Citrine & Marcasite

Two hearts that beat as one! This vintage early 20th Century 925 Silver heart-shaped lattice brooch is bejeweled with a large and beautiful pear-cut  approx. 7MM x 10MM faceted amethyst, an approx. 3MM sparkling round red garnet, and an approx. 3MM round deep golden citrine. The sterling silver double heart shape also features a scalloped edging completely lined in marcasite on both the inner and outer heart. The 925 stamp is visible on the back along with an FAS stamp for Fused Alloy Silver.

Before coming to Mystery Control, this double heart brooch had been in a vault for 45 years, as part of a massive collection of Deco and WWII era jewelry from Taxco, Mexico and the Southwestern US. Based on the age, marks, design and gems we believe this piece is from the Southwestern US.
